Who we are

These terms cover services provided by Michael Goodwin ("Do Better Operations").

By using this website or engaging our services, you agree to these terms.

Services

Do Better Operations provides local SEO, online visibility, advertising

management, CRM, operations, and related consulting services for small

businesses. The specific scope of your engagement will be set out in your

proposal or agreement following your free visibility audit.

The free visibility audit is provided at no cost and no obligation. It is an

assessment for informational purposes only.

Fees and payment

Fees are quoted per client after the free audit, based on your market, goals,

and starting point. A one-time setup fee may apply and will be quoted with

your plan.

Unless otherwise agreed in writing, engagements begin with a 3-month initial

commitment. If you pay the full setup fee, there is no initial commitment and

services are month-to-month from day one. After any initial commitment period,

all services continue month-to-month and may be cancelled as described below.

Longer commitments may qualify for reduced monthly rates.

Payment is due as invoiced. Late payments may result in paused services until

the balance is brought current.

Cancellation

You may cancel month-to-month services at any time with written notice (email

is fine). If you are within an initial commitment period, you may cancel at

the end of that period. Fees already paid are non-refundable, and work already

performed will be invoiced.

What we need from you

To do good work, we need: accurate business information, access to your

accounts (such as your Google Business Profile), timely approvals on anything

public-facing, and photos or media when requested. Delays on your side may

extend timelines.

No guarantees

We do not guarantee rankings, leads, revenue, or any specific business

outcome. Search engines and advertising platforms change constantly, and

results depend on factors outside our control, including your market,

competition, and participation. Anyone who promises guaranteed rankings is

not being honest with you, and neither are we.

Ownership

You own your accounts, website, profiles, content, and data — always. We will

never hold your digital assets hostage. Methods, processes, and templates we

bring to the engagement remain ours.

Confidentiality

We each agree to keep the other's non-public business information confidential

and to use it only for the engagement.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim

arising from our services is limited to the fees you paid us in the three

months before the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or

consequential damages, including lost profits.

Termination

Either of us may end the engagement as described under Cancellation above. We

may also suspend or end services immediately for non-payment or misuse.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The version posted here at the

time of your engagement applies to that engagement.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California.
